'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cotterill Still Confident Despite Hull Defeat

Steve Cotterill tasted defeat for the first time as manager of Nottingham Forest yesterday, when his side lost 1-0 at home to Hull City.

Forest dominated the game for long periods and played some good football in spells, but once again their undoing was a failure to capitalise on the few chances they had.

Cotterill told the official site. 'We didn't get too carried away when we won a couple of games and likewise we won't get too down about today's defeat.'

Hull took their chance well and punished the Reds' for not doing the same. But as Cotterill admitted afterwards, it was something of a 'smash and grab' from the visitors.
