Cotterill's reunion with Lawrence?

Steve Cotterill has barely settled into his office, with the transfer window still more than a month and a half from opening, but this has not stopped the transfer rumours from starting.

In the Daily Express today they report that Cotterill will return to his former club Portsmouth in an attempt to sign their captain Liam Lawrence.

It was Cotterill that took the Irish international to Fratton Park from Stoke shortly after his arrival on the South Coast so he is a player that he likes.

How much truth to this is not known but a fee of 1.5m is unlikely to be paid by the club but the Nottinghamshire born former Forest youth team player may fancy a return to the area and the chance of a reunion with Cotterill if a deal can be agreed?
