Prem Clubs Target Chris Gunter

There's not much in the way of good news concerning all things Nottingham Forest at the moment and things could be taking a turn for the worst, if reports in todays' Daily Mail prove to be correct.

One of the few shining lights and prized assets in the current Forest squad, could be heading for pastures new, with media reports saying that 3 Premiership clubs are chasing right back Chris Gunter.

Since signing from Spurs in 2009, Gunter has proved he's not only one of the best players in the current Forest squad, he's proved more than capable at international level for Wales as well. He's still only 22 and has made 36 appearances for his country.

The Mail says that Forest have already turned down a bid of £1.5m from Norwich, with Blackburn and Fulham showing interest in the defender too.

Didn't we buy him for £1.75 million? They should hold out for at least £3 million for Gunts. I'd be surprised if we keep hold of him to be honest.

Please get realistic - if you were at a club that showed no interest in promoting itself as a worthwhile investment in order to attract sensible offers from prospective buyers - that had no money to invest in the squad, therefore no ambition and you could get a decent job elsewhere - you would be off like a shot - and so will all the others by the summer unles Mardy gets off his arse and starts pretending its all nothing to do with him anymore and finds a buyer - we're on the road to nowhere
