'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McClaren - Forest Had No Ambition

Steve McClaren's reign as Forest boss will rightly be viewed as a failure, after only 112 days at the club and having only won 8 points from his 10 games in charge.

Despite the dismal performances and results, which have continued under his successor Steve Cotterill, McClaren cites a lack of ambition from the club as reasons for his downfall.

McClaren told the Sporting Life. 'I went to Forest expecting one thing and I left because they couldn't deliver it and they are still now a long way away. It was the wrong club on both sides. There was a distinct lack of ambition and I don't think there's any money now. They haven't spent a lot.'

He ain't wrong!!!

Easy to criticise, but it wasn't the club that lambasted his players in the press, nor played key players out of position, and tried 5 different formations in 10 games. Wally has left us with a hopelessly imbalanced squad. We spent £2m on a wage budget already one of the highest in the division. If he needs to outspend everyone to compete he's not a good manager. But then the evidence of his time at nffc proves that anyway. Muppet.
