'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Holt: 'We can go all the way.'

Grant Holt today sent out a warning to the rest of League One after Forest notched up their third straight win of the season, saying: ''We are only going to get better.''

The striker played a key role in the 1-0 success over Northampton, firing in the cross that former Reds defender Chris Doig slid into his own net.

The win left Forest joint top of the table, following their successes over Bradford and Blackpool. But Holt believes there is more to come from Colin Calderwood's side and says they are yet to find their best form.

''We cannot look to much at the fact we have made a good start, we just have to focus on keeping it going,'' he said. ''That is the important thing.

''We can go all the way this season, with the spirit and the players we have.

''But there is still room for improvement, there is no question about that. With the chances we have had we should have scored more goals and we could still make better use of the ball generally.

''The team was better on Saturday than it was on Tuesday night and hopefully we will be better again this Saturday.

''There is always room for improvement, we will focus on getting stronger and stronger, that is the only way to be. The team spirit is there for us and it will click for us.

''You have to approach every game in a positive frame of mind, with the idea that you are going to win it. That is what we will continue to do.''
