Striker deal Agogo?

Nottingham Forest should find out 'within the next 48 hours' whether their bid for Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo has been accepted.

The 27-year-old striker, who has scored 38 goals in the last two seasons for the League Two side, was the subject of an undisclosed bid from Forest at the end of last week.

Rovers are considering the offer and director of football Lennie Lawrence is aiming to resolve the situation before Saturday's trip to MK Dons.

He told the club's official website: 'Everybody knows we have received an offer from Nottingham Forest. We are dealing with that now and as soon as it is resolved, either by it being accepted or rejected, we will let people know. Hopefully that will be within the next 48 hours or so.

'We will have to see what happens. At the moment it is just a bid and we will deal with that bid on its merits and do what is in the best interests of the club. That is always key in this kind of situation - what is best for Bristol Rovers Football Club.'
