Deal still Agogo?

Nottingham Forest are still hoping to signing striker Junior Agogo.

The Evening Post understands that Bristol Rovers have NOT yet officially rejected the Reds offer for the fleet-footed 27-year-old and Forest officials remain hopeful that a deal can still be done for the Ghana international, who is understood to have his heart set on a move to the City Ground.

Rovers chief executive Bill Smith publicly stated yesterday that Forest's bid was 'well below' their valuation.

But it is understood that the League Two club could still be interested in a deal, particularly if Forest were to allow Spencer Weir-Daley to move on loan or, alternatively, if Neil Harris could be included as a permanent make-weight in the move.

Rovers sent a scout to watch both players in action for Forest reserves last night, although director of football, Lennie Lawrence was not there.

Harris scored twice in a 2-0 win and Weir-Daley also impressed.

Forest are not willing to up their offer for Agogo.
