McCleary Attracting Interest From Prem Clubs

It should come as no surprise following his four goal blitz at Elland Road on Tuesday night, that Forest winger/striker Garath McCleary is drawing attention from other clubs.

According to the Daily Mirror, Premiership clubs Wigan and WBA are said to be interested in the 24 year old, who is out of contract at the end of the current season.

McCleary jumped to the top of the Reds' goalscoring charts for this season after his 4 goals in the 3-7 win over Leeds on Tuesday evening, taking his personal tally for this campaign so far to 9. It's the first time since joining the club from non league Bromley under Colin Calderwood in 2008, that the player has had an extended run in the side. He was limited to only 21 appearances last year under Billy Davies, but has been a revelation this season under Steve Cotterill.

Unsurprisingly, the Forest boss is keen to secure a new deal for McCleary, but his future will not be resolved until new owners are found for the club. That is unlikely to happen until the end of the season, or until we know what division we will be playing in next year.
