The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Nigel Law

Q - How long have you been following Forest and what was your first game?

Almost 50 years. January 1963 v Wolves in the FA Cup; we won 4:3.

Q - What are your most memorable moments as a Forest fan? Good and Bad.

Good- The Clough era in its entirety + Forest versus Everton in 1967 6th round FA Cup.

Q - Since you have been following Forest, what would your best starting eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?

Shilton, Anderson, Walker, Burns, Pearce (Captain), Storey Moore, Keane, Archie Gemmill, Robertson, Woodcock, Birtles favourite player: Stuart Pearce.

Q - In your opinion, what is the best goal you have seen Forest score?

Joe Baker, overhead kick at Bridgford End v Burnley in 1967.

Q - Best and worst away ground visited?

Best- Barcelona Worst- Derby (Baseball Ground).

Q- Which player(s) would you like to see us sign this summer (realistically)?

Guedioura.

Q - All seater stadia. Good thing, or a bad thing?

Good thing.

Q - What are your thoughts on how Forest did last season and how did it compare to your expectations?

Worse than initial optimistic expectations but in the end I would have settled for where we finished after the mid seasons disasters.

Q - What are your expectations for next season in the Championship/Where will we finish?

With our 9 men we should finish 38th!

Q- With the introduction of Financial Fair Play coming soon, do you think NFFC should spend their way to promotion, or adopt a more frugal approach in trying to achieve it?

Somewhere in between; we need to be able to compete.

Q - Name a former Forest player you were most disappointed to see sign for another club?

Peter Withe.

Q - What's your opinion on Steve Cotterill and will he bring success to the club?

Excellent and yes if he has the funds to build a squad.

Q - New stadium, or renovate the City Ground?

Renovate.

Q - If you could give one piece of advice to the eventual new owners of NFFC, what would it be?

Back the manager.

Q - Where do you sit/stand at the City Ground?

Main Stand.

Q - Name the celebrity you would most like to meet.
