Al-Hasawi Confirms Interest In NFFC

The Nottingham Forest official site, has released a statement by the potential new owners of the club, confirming their intentions to complete a deal to purchase Nottingham Forest Football Club.

The joint statement on behalf of Fawaz, Abdulaziz and Omar Al-Hasawi says, that they are in the process of carrying out Due Diligence on the club and that the future on field and off field success of the club, is very much part of their plans.

There's very little information around on the Al-Hasawi brothers and their background, but they are said to be one of the wealthiest families in Kuwait and Mr. Fawaz Al-Hasawi, is reportedly married into the Kuwaiti royal family. The Al-Hasawi family have apparently made their vast fortunes from Real Estate and Refrigeration.

Mr. Fawaz Al-Hasawi, is said to be a mad keen football fan and was the President of one of the most successful clubs' in the Middle East, Qadsia SC. It was reported a few weeks ago that he had stood down as club President at Qadsia, but this has yet to be officially confirmed.

Whilst any deal to take control of NFFC has yet to be officially completed, the rumour mill is rife with the Al-Hasawi's plans of returning NFFC to the Premiership, with millions of pounds available to bankroll the club. The Al-Hasawi family have said, that if they are successful in gaining control of NFFC, they will make clear their aims and intentions, when the deal is done.
