Al-Hasawi's Deny Paladini Involvement In Takeover

The Al-Hasawi family have issued a statement to Sky Sports News, saying they are committed to going ahead with a deal to purchase the club and at the same time, denied any involvement in the bid process with Gianni Paladini.

The former QPR chairman was earlier this week linked with making an illegal approach to Peterborough for their manager Darren Ferguson. The Al-Hasawi brothers say this is not true and he was not acting on their behalf.

'In light of erroneous media coverage in the British press over the past weekend, we wish to state that Mr Gianni Paladini has no authority to act on behalf of the Al-Hasawi Family in connection with our purchase of Nottingham Forest.'

Since the 'tapping up' allegations surfaced at the weekend, Forest have had the threat of legal action hanging over them. Hopefully this statement from the potential new owners of NFFC puts that particular story to bed.
