'If It's Football, It's Vital'

COLLINS CHECKS IN AND MORE WILL FOLLOW

Danny Collins was the second signing of Sean O`Driscoll`s tenure as manager when he completed a £500,000 move from Stoke City last week.

The welsh international defender followed Wolves midfielder Adlene Guedioura through the entrance door at the City Ground and immediately stated he was looking forward to his new managers style of football.

Collins told the Nottingham Post: "It is always a big factor when signing for a club what style of football they play and the gaffer seems like he wants to play the game the right way.

"There is a huge playing surface here at the City Ground and it would seem like a shame to waste it."

There always seems to be something about Forest signings and their ability to talk the talk and Collins wasted no time in taking the same route as several previous signings.

The two signings that O`Driscoll has managed to secure so far show real intent from the manager and the owners.

To me these players are not lower end Championship players and are players that can really help the club challenge at the right end of the table.

Things are certainly looking up on Trentside and hopefully by the time Aston Villa visit us on 4th August we will be starting to see our squad shape up just nicely in time for the big kick off.
