Forest Secure Billy Sharp Loan Deal

Southampton striker Billy Sharp has made a deadline day loan move to the City Ground, making him the second former Doncaster Rovers player to join the Reds' on an excellent days business for the club.

Sharp is a prolific Championship golscorer and is proven at this level. The deal is until the end of the current season, but it is rumoured that a fee has been agreed with the Saints to make the move permanent in January.

He joins former Donny team mate James Coppinger, who also joined the club yesterday. Both were former players under Sean O'Driscoll. Sharp is 26 years of age and will be a welcome addition to what is turning into a very exciting new squad. Welcome to the City Ground Billy Sharp.
