Head To Head: Forest v Derby

It's the big one on Sunday, when the Red Dogs of Nottingham take on the Sheep Shaggers of Derby in the clash of the East Midlands at the City Ground (KO:1.15pm).

The Rams did the double over us last season, beating us 2-1 at home and 1-0 away. Recent encounters have been feisty affairs, with a player from both teams getting their marching orders in the two matches last season. Rams keeper Frank Fielding was sent off at the City Ground after 2 mins, but they went on to win the game 2-1. Andy Reid gave the Reds' the lead, but goals from Jamie Ward and Jeff Hendrick sealed the win for the Sheep. Marcus Tudgay received his marching orders in the return game at the Sheep Dip, after picking up his second yellow card of the game. Jake Buxton gave the home side the points in the final seconds of the game.

Whilst the Rams may hold the bragging rights and the Brian Clough trophy from last season, the Mighty Red Dogs have the overall bragging rights from the 80 League meetings between the two sides. Forest have won 33 against their 28 and 19 games have ended with the honours even. The two sides go into this game separated by only 2 points in the League table from the opening 7 games. Forest sit in 10th place and on 10 points in the Championship, with the Rams occupying 17th position on 8 points.
