Welcome Home (for now) Jermaine Jenas

Jermaine Jenas was strutting his stuff in the Premier League last season, on loan with Aston Villa, until a career threatening Achilles injury put him out of action for 6 months. Today, the former City Ground hero returned home, albeit for only a month......at least for now.

Rumours have been circulating since the summer about a potential return home for Jenas and the news was confirmed today on the official site, via a very brief statement that said. 'Nottingham Forest can confirm Jermaine Jenas is to return to the Club on an emergency loan from Tottenham Hotspur. The 29 year old year midfielder started his career at The City Ground, scoring four goals in 33 appearances as a Red.'

It's hoped that the loan can be extended for the maximum permitted 90 days, but Forest, Tottenham and the player himself will have to agree to that. Welcome home JJ.

Mixed feelings about this. Like JJ but it seems SOD is like a kid in a sweet shop when midfielders become available. We've got Guediora, Cohen, Gillet, Google, Radi, Lansbury as first string players who grace centre mid, as well as moussi and greenig as backup. I worry the harmony of the squad will be affected. 9 players chasing 2 positions is not balanced.
