Cox And Dex Banned For Rovers Clash

The 1-0 home defeat to Derby on Sunday, has proved more costly than the loss of 3 points and dented pride. The Reds' will now be without leading strike duo Simon Cox and Dexter Blackstock due to suspension.

Cox picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the feisty and abysmally refereed encounter at the City Ground. The Irish international has bagged 3 goals in his 9 appearances for the Reds' so far this campaign and will be sorely missed against Blackburn.

Blackstock was issued with a straight red card for an innocent enough challenge early in the second half. He's also bagged 3 goals in 9 apearances. He will serve a three match ban.

The strike pair will join Adlene Guedioura on the suspended list, who serves his final game of a 3 match ban for his red in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
