Ward In To Bolster Forest Defence

Nottingham Forest have reacted quickly to the injuries sustained by defensive duo Sam Hutchinson and Daniel Ayala, by bringing in Norwich City's Elliott Ward on an emergency loan deal.

The official site has today confirmed that Ward will be at the City Ground until 29 December and will be in the squad for the game away at Barnsley tomorrow.

Ward told the NFFC official site. "I haven`t played as often as I would have liked but that`s football - it will be nice to play in some proper games again. I feel fit and ready to go and I`m really looking forward to my time at Forest. They`ve got a great squad and I`m pleased to be part of it."

The fitness of Chelsea's on loan defender Sam Hutchinson is being monitored by both clubs and a decision on his City Ground future is expected soon. Daniel Ayala is out with a hamstring injury and could be missing for up to three weeks.
