Moore Confident Ahead Of Clash

Chris Greenacre is a concern ahead of the top of the table clash at Prenton Park on saturday.

But Moore has praised Calvin Zola and Steve Davies after their win at Northampton last Saturday and believes any two of his four strikers can combine to form a potent partnership that will cause the Forest defence, still without Danny Cullip, major problems.

Zola, who replaced the injured Chris Greenacre at the Sixfields Stadium, proved an effective partner for former red Gareth Taylor and and set Rovers on the way to a 3-1 win with his first goal of the season. Taylor then scored the second goal.

Davies played more than an hour on the left of midfield as a replacement for Kevin Ellison and also impressed the manager.

Moore said: ' I think our strike-force is as good as anything in the division.

'The two big men Taylor and Zola complemented each other very well at Northampton but I think I could play any two of our four strikers in combination and come up with an effective pairing.

'They all complement each other because of their different styles of play.'

Zola has pleased Moore to the point where he may have earned himself a place in the starting line up regardless of whether Greenacre is declared fit for the game.

Moore said: 'Calvin is a rough diamond and he just needs polishing.

'At six-foot three his height is an advantage but his pace is deceptive. Once he gets into his stride he is difficult to catch and he is very strong.
