Tranmere vs Forest Preview

The game is an intruiging one in a whole manner of ways. Forest have hit a bad patch recently while Tranmere have cut down our lead and confidence is sky-high at Prenton Park.

Tranmere boast the best home form in the League while Forest boast the best away form having won three and drawn one in the League.

Saturday will also be the first time the much-maligned ex red Garethy Taylor plays against us. He has a massive point to prove having been on the receiving end of both fair and unfair criticism during his time here.

Forest will be looking to pick up their performance after winning only one point from their past two games. Tranmere meanwhile have won four of their last five, the only loss coming away at Rotherham.

Kris Commons is back in contention but will probably have to settle for a place on the bench as he looks to reach full fitness. Danny Cullip will not feature as he is still sidelined with a thigh injury. John Curtis is fit again and could be looking at a starting role as his experience will be needed against Gareth Taylor.

Tranmere have many doubts ahead of the game. Kevin Ellison will probably miss out after suffering a comical eye injury during a goal celebration, Paul Mclaren will also miss out with a heel injury. Shane Sherriff and Chris Greenacre face late fitness tests.
