Junior Agogo believes his first goal in a Forest shirt can spur him on to be the Reds' leading marksman this season.
He has already missed much of the campaign after a protracted £125,000 move from Bristol Rovers - but the Ghanaian international says he could still get 20 goals this term.
Agogo notched his first in a 3-1 win against Swansea, and thinks the strike will be the catalyst for many more. He said: 'At the beginning of the season all forwards would set a target of 20 goals. I know I've left it a bit late to start, but with a team like ours anything is possible.
'All I needed to do was get one and then get on a roll. I would say 15 or 20 would still be my target.'
Agogo misses this week's televised Scunthorpe clash for international duty with Ghana in the Far East.
The break comes at a bad time - he has just established himself as first-choice striker, starting in the last four matches.
But he has no regrets about representing his country and is confident he can reclaim his Forest place when he returns next week.
'I'm Ghanaian,' he said. 'I love to have the opportunity to play for my country and that's what I'm doing. It is football and this is what happens. I'm only missing one game.
'For all of us, all we can do is concentrate on our own game and then it is up to the manager. I'm playing at the moment so only I can lose my place now.
'Forest haven't seen the best of me yet - it's only been a few games and you can't judge a player on a few games. You can see if he's got a bit or not, but it's the longevity that counts.'
