Commons happy to be back

Nottingham Forest midfielder Kris Commons admits it feels good to be back in action after his matchwinning display against Swansea

In only his third appearance of the season after picking up knee and ankle injuries in a pre-season friendly at Lincoln, Commons changed the game against the Swans with an assist and a goal in two second-half minutes.

He told the club's official website: 'It is good to be back. It's been a frustrating time for me and it was nice to feel like I was contributing again.

'I had done four weeks of pre-season when I picked up my injury so my basic fitness is there.

'It is just a case of trying to catch up on what I've missed in the intervening period.'
