Nottingham Forest's Nathan Tyson could make his first-team comeback against Yeading.
Tyson, who suffered medial knee ligament damage on the opening day of the season, is recovering ahead of schedule and could play a part in the City Ground Cup tie on Saturday week.
And Reds boss Colin Calderwood said: 'The really pleasing thing is that he is getting no pain from his knee, there is nothing inhibiting him.
'In theory he could be available for the Yeading game but he has only had a few days' training and 25 minutes of a behind-closed-doors game so we have to be cautious.'
