Academy Update: Forest 1 Barnsley 0

Forest U18's fixture against Barnsley served as a precurser to the beginning of the FA Youth Cup, a tournament in which Forest have had a reasonable amount of success.

Forest thoroughly dominated against a dour Barnsely side, and will be disappointed that they came out of the match with only one goal, scored by recent signing and former Bradford man, Emile Sinclair.

Two late saves from promising keeper Shane Redmond secured the win for Forest, who will be hoping to go take things to the next level for the start of the FA Youth Cup.

Forest:

Redmond
Treacy
Heath (Staples 45)
Mcgugan
Moloney
Liburd
Sinclair
Thornhill
Newbold(Sharpe 80)
Whitehurst(Fairclough)75
Reid

Unused:
Mitchell
Collins
