What's In Store For Ross?

Ross Gardner says he would like to extend his loan spell from Nottingham Forest and hasn't ruled out the option of a permanent switch.

Gardner moved to Vale Park earlier this week on an initial month's loan to get some regular action and help regain his fitness, following a thigh injury, and the youngster hasn't ruled out extending that or even gaining a permanent deal

He told the club's website: 'The players and staff have already made me feel really welcome. They are all one big group all together and hopefully we can carry that into the games and get Port Vale up the league as high as possible.

'If I can get match fit and do will it will give Port Vale something to think about, give Colin Calderwood something to think about at Forest, but I just want to win games here.

'Nottingham Forest are riding high and it didn't help me getting injured in pre-season and hopefully I can get in the team here and then stay in the team, but I would jump at the chance to stay for two months, or even three months and who knows after that.'
