'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Calderwood To Push Commons

Kris Commons was today told to keep trying to improve - to ensure Nottingham Forest maintain their winning ways.

The Reds play-maker has netted five goals in his last two matches, including a hat-trick in last weekend's 5-0 win over Yeading.

And manager Colin Calderwood admits he has been a massive influence during Forest's seven-game unbeaten run, going into today's game at Rotherham.

But Calderwood has also told Commons not to rest on his laurels.

'It is something we all thought would happen, his influence in the game last week was huge,' he said.

'But I'd hope he thinks there is more improvement to come.

'Because if he continues to perform as he has been doing, we will be a winning team.

'He is one of those players who can score a goal or create one for us.

'He has got a real nice attitude about him at the minute, as has the whole of the group.

'They celebrate their victories in a way that makes me believe they are enjoying them, but not to the level where they believe they are the bees knees.'
