Ronnie Keen To Keep 'Thommo'

Tranmere Rovers hope to keep Nottingham Forest defender John Thompson for a further month.

Thompson joined Rovers on loan in October and has impressed manager Ronnie Moore in his four appearances.
Moore's side have won all the games that Thompson has appeared in, reaching the second round of the FA Cup and climbing to fourth in League One.

The current arrangement is due to expire after Friday's game against Blackpool, but Moore is eager to hang on to Thompson.
'We'll be talking to Forest and trying to get him for another month,' Moore told the club's official website.

'The lad is keen to stay and we're keen to keep him and he'd be another body for the start of the Christmas period.'

'He has done very well here and settled in.'
