Thompson Returns.

Forest utility man John Thompson has had his second loan spell at Tranmere terminated by The Reds'.

Forest had agreed to extend his time at Prenton Park for a second month, but today surprisingly called for his return to the City Ground.

Since his spell with the Whites, he has become a popular figure with the fans. In a recent poll on Vital Tranmere, 89% of fans wanted him signing on a permanent deal.

Apparently Forest have been able to do this under a clause in the loan rules, that allows a club to recall a player after the first 28 days of a loan deal.

Interesting move. Played very well against us at Prenton Park.

wonder why he is coming back.

A mixture of a busy christmas fixture and not wanting tranmere to do well if you ask me.
