Clingan came on as a subsitute at half time, having been suspended for 3 matches after a sending off away at Oldham.
Forest had been completely bossed during the first half, and central midfielders James Perch, and particularly Gary Holt, were unable to cope with the likes of Lassana Diarra and Frank Lampard.
Clingan's introduction led to an upsurge in the Reds fortunes, and although no goal was scored, he was at the centre of a fair amount of Forest possession.
Clingan once again demonstrated ability on the ball, vision, and a class above what Forest had showed in the first half.
