Calderwood on Psychology
The forest boss talks about psychology, particularly regarding promotion, in the second part of his interview.
'It's very interesting how the psychology of this whole thing will work out a little bit.
We're not into the nervous last six or seven games yet, but the team that handles every game as evenly as possible and is not worried about not winning at half-time or with 70 minutes gone and keeps their composure will be the team that executes it at the end of the season.
We're not thinking anything negative whatsoever, we think we have a fantastic chance.
As for preparing the players, we will probably try to relax them a little bit more, because you worry about things, like getting a point, how you did at the start of the game, there is an awful lot to be concentrating on.
So we've got to be relaxed about our work during the week, because at this stage of the season we know how we want to play against the opposition and which formations to play.
Our knowledge of one another is good and our physical preparation is taken care of, we just have to look at recovery in between games, keeping everyone fresh and trying not to let them think about the importance of the next game.'
