'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Colin On Forest's Future

On Expectations:

'The expectation is still there at Nottingham Forest. I think as a group we feel as though we have a point to prove, and that point to prove is a great incentive for everyone to do well.

We've done OK so far, we've done alright and the group we've got knows exactly what we're going to need to do from now on.

I don't think it's a difficult thing at all, playing for a club like this. Everyone wants to put a negative slant on it because that makes for a better story, but I just don't see it.

Like the fans supposedly being against the team, I just don't feel it and I've not seen it here at all - I guess it's just a better story to write about.

There have been big teams in this league over recent years, like Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday and at the moment it's us. We just have to get out of the league as best we can.'

On The Future:

'A prediction for where Forest will finish? Number one.

I'm excited about the group I've got and I'm excited about the competition for places and I look forward to the games as they come along.

The majority of teams are in a spell of three games inside a week and that's a big chunk of the season that's left all in one go.

Winning a couple of games in-a-row at this stage will give anyone a massive boost and if we can get through the next week or so without picking up a suspension or any injuries, we'll be in fine fettle.

I've changed the front players around a little because we've got four quality strikers at the moment and I feel we've got a good goalscoring threat about us.

My front two haven't scored as many as Crewe's front two this season - but I'd much rather be in our position than theirs.'

I'd agree on the four quality strikers point. I've always been a fan of Jack Lester's.

Jack has had his critics, and I have been quick to get on his back in the past, but he's been massive for us last few weeks. I wouldn't have thought I'd hear myself say it, but if one player sees us through to the end of the season...?

2 wins out of two is absolutely vital now to get back on track. Problem is, I cannot see it happening.

If our strikers don't start hitting the onion bag with more regularity we will end up in the same position as Crewe.....NOT in the Championship next season!!!!!
