Cox Out For Two Months

Forest striker Simon Cox received mixed news on the scan results from his injured ankle. The good news is he hasn't broken it, but the bad news is he will still be missing for up to two months.

Cox was stretchered off in the 2-1 win at Wolves last weekend and it was feared at the time that he had broken a bone. Scans later revealed that he had only sustained ligament damage and that he will be should be fit again in around 8 weeks.

The Irish international told the BBC. 'I'm out for around two months but it feels better and better each day. I want to be back ASAP to help the lads achieve our goal.'

Cox has made 17 appearances for the Reds' since signing from WBA in the summer and has scored 5 goals. Get well soon Simon Cox.
