Hutchinson And Jenas Back In Training

It was beginning to look like the loan spells of Sam Hutchinson and Jermaine Jenas would have to be cancelled due to injury, but news from the NFFC official site today, suggests that their loan deals are set to continue.

Both players resumed training this week and although neither are likely to be named in the squad to face Watford this weekend, it is good news for their immediate futures at the City Ground.

Hutchinson hasn't played since picking up a knee injury against Crystal Palace back in October. An injection given by the Chelsea medical staff, is thought to have prolonged the problem with his knee. Those problems however, now look to have been overcome and news that he's back in training bodes well for the player and Forest as well.

There was also the same good news for Jermaine Jenas. The on loan Tottenham midfielder was all set to return to White Hart Lane in January, but he also resumed training this week after recovering from a calf injury. Whether that means his loan deal will be extended beyond January is not yet known, but he has shown he still has much to offer and would be a great addition to have going into the second half of this campaign.

Calf problems seem to ha blighted JJs career for over 2 years and still seem unresolved. As things stand I guess his career is still in limbo as he isn't really wanted or needed at Spurs and unless he can sort his fitness issues out and play regularly, you don't see too many clubs taking a chance in offering him a permanent deal.
