Grant Renews Partnership With McLeish

Peter Grant has once again teamed up with Alex McLeish and has been appointed to the role of Deputy Manager. At the same time, first team coach Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has left the club.

Grant is 47 years of age and is a former Celtic midfielder. He went into coaching with the Glasgow club after his playing career ended and spent time at West Ham, West Brom and Bournemouth, before teaming up with McLeish for the first time at Birmingham City and again at Villa Park. Grant served one year between 2006 and 2007, as manager of Norwich City.

McLeish told the official site that he was delighted to have Grant on board. He said. 'He's a workhorse and his life is soaked in football. He's also had massive experience of English football, having worked here for many years. I've known him for a long time and he's a person I trust and respect enormously. I am sure he will do an excellent job for Nottingham Forest Football Club.'

The club have also announced that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has left his role as first team coach. JFH joined the club in the summer of 2011, under former manager Steve McClaren.
