Forest Hunt A Barnsley Double

Forest welcome Barnsley to The City Ground on Saturday afternoon, with both sides desperate for the points for differing reasons!

It's anticipated that the Forest squad isn't going to be changed from midweek, especially with Stephen McLaughlin (ankle) unlikely to be fit to feature. Darius Henderson (suspension) sits out again.

Barnsley will be without Bobby Hassell (hamstring), however should be able to call on Rob Edwards and Kelvin Etuhu (both hamstring).

Having looked as though they had hauled themselves out of trouble five defeats from the last six has seen Barnsley slide down the table and only Bristol City are below them, however unlike The Robins The Tykes can still stave off relegation.

Whereas Forest on the other hand find themselves a point outside the play-off zone, having won only once in the last six and suffering back-to-back defeats against Cardiff and Middlesbrough in the past week.

In a number of meetings in the past 100-years plus it could be slightly surprising to know that nothing can separate the sides with them having won 27 of the meetings apiece with the other 21 ending in draws.

Forest would be expected to claim the points against Barnsley, and therefore complete the double over them after the 4-1 win at Oakwell in October, however they would have expected this against Boro in midweek too and that didn't happen!
