Mark Arthur Becomes CEO At Yorkshire CCC
Former Nottingham Forest Chief Executive Officer Mark Arthur, has today been confirmed as the new CEO at Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
Arthur reportedly left the Reds' on January 17 along with Chief Scout Keith Burt and former player, manager and Chairman Frank Clark. Although there has never been any official confirmation of Mark Arthur's departure from the club, Yorkshire CCC have today confirmed that he has joined them as their new Chief Executive.
Whilst it's fair to say that Arthur was a far from popular figure at the City Ground, he did have a 13 year association with the club.
Yorkshire CCC Chairman Colin Graves told the BBC. 'It is fantastic news for the club to appoint Mark as the new chief executive.'
It's rumoured that former Scottish solicitor and advisor to Billy Davies, Mr. Jim Price will be announced as the CEO, or General Manager of NFFC over the summer. Jim Price (along with three other partners at Scottish law firm Harper Ross) had his licence to practice suspended at the start of an ongoing investigation into the misappropriation of client funds. As Mark Arthur once said himself. 'Be careful what you wish for.'
