The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Egor the Red

The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Egor the Red

Q - How long have you been following Forest and do you remember your first game?

Since 10 April 1965 when I first saw Forest play Blackpool at home. Ian Storey-Moore and Colin Addison scored the goals.

Q - What are your most memorable moments as a Forest fan? Good and Bad.

Winning the European Cup Final in Munich. Seeing Forest lose the FA Cup Final to Spurs.

Q - Since you have been following Forest, what would your best starting eleven be and who is your all time favourite player?

Shilton, Anderson, Pearce, McKinley, Burns, Robertson, McGovern, Newton, Storey-Moore, Woodcock, McKenzie - FAV PLAYER Duncan McKenzie.

Q - What is your best and worst moment of the 2012/13 season?

Seeing Billy come back and losing to to Fester last day of the season.

Q - In your opinion, how have the new owners performed since taking over the club last July?

Mixed really. Great they came on board but disappointed at the way they have swapped and changed managers. The next transfer window may show their true intentions for the club.

Q - Best and worst away ground visited?

Best - old Wembley Worse - Baseball Ground.

Q - Who is your Nottingham Forest player of the season?

Andy Reid.

Q- Which player(s) would you like to see Forest sign this summer (realistically)?

We still need a left back and a couple of pacy wide players.

Q - All seater stadia. Good thing, or a bad thing?

Good now I`m getting older! But used to love standing on the Kop (Radcliffe Road Stand) when I was a kid.

Q - What are your thoughts on how the team performed last season and how did it compare with your expectations?

It was a real roller coaster. Great start, indifferent middle and good ending. I thought we should get into the play offs but the mucking about mid season put paid to that.

Q - What are your expectations for next season in the Championship/Where will we finish?

Play offs at least.

Q- Much has been said about the wealth of our new owners. Do you think they will spend their way to promotion, or adopt a more frugal approach in trying to achieve it?

That`s the million dollar question isn`t it!! The close season will be interesting and come beginning of August we ALL may know the answer to that. If they don`t invest I think they will use FFP as the excuse!!

Q - Name a former Forest player you were most disappointed to see sign for another club?

Stuart Pearce.

Q - What's your opinion on Billy Davies and will he bring success to the club?

Billy is a wily old Scot! He was onto a win win situation when he came back. 1 point off the play off represents a good result for him. He knows how to work the Press and yes I`m optimistic he will push on from last season.

Q - In your opinion, was it the right or wrong decision to sack Sean O'Driscoll?

At the time I was horrified and thought it was a stupid move. We were progressing in footballing terms. As it turned out Billy`s reappearance (eventually) made most people think, in the end, it was the right decision.

Q - New stadium, or renovate the City Ground?

Renovate - BUT move the bloody away fans out of the LBE.

Q - If you could put one question or make one request to Mr.Fawaz Al-Hasawi, what would it be?

How serious are you about running our football club? (and I`d want the truth - not some bull sh*t).

Q - Where do you sit/stand at the City Ground?

Back row, Upper Bridgford End.

Q - Name the celebrity you would most like to meet.

None really - Im 55 - bit old to be star struck!
