The 24 year old signed a two year deal at the City Ground, after completing a medical yesterday. He made a total of 31 appearances for the West Midlands clu. His preferred position is at right back, but he can play equally well on either side of defence.

Forest boss Billy Davies told the official site. 'Eric is a great signing for us. He has experience at the top level of English football and arrives at an important stage of his career. We are very much looking forward to working with him.'

Good luck to him. Never let Villa down. Perhaps not quite Premier standard..yet...maybe with more regular football. I know Leeds fans loved him when he was on loan there.

Good luck Eric. We'll miss you, and you'll always get a great reception when you come back to Villa Park.
