The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Carl Robinson

The Vital Forest Fan Interview: Carl Robinson

Q - How long have you been following Forest and do you remember your first game?

About thirty years, can't remember the very first as still in short pants, but the first from memory was as a school kid around '84, some elder lads took me and it was postponed for reasons unknown, so good day out but no football.

Q - What are your most memorable moments as a Forest fan? Good and Bad.

Best, Collymore's goal at Peterboro, when we went up, closely followed by the old Trafford victory when they hadn't lost for about a decade, the Collymore years, great times.

Worst, FA cup final deafeat, never felt so shit as I did on the bus home.

Q - In your opinion, how have the new owners performed since taking over the club last July?

As well as could be expected, I am content with that, but if they talk a third star, they better deliver a third star.

Q - Best and worst away ground visited?

Best, ummmmmm always used to like the run away Ipswich/Norwich, dont know why, crap roads, but plenty of pubs.

Worst Milwall, for obvious reasons.

Q - Who is your Nottingham Forest player of the season?

This season, Cox, for effort alone.

Q- Which player(s) would you like to see Forest sign this summer (realistically)?

Dawson.

Q - All seater stadia. Good thing, or a bad thing?

Good, after being at ground zero at Hillsborough.

Q - What are your thoughts on how the team performed last season and how did it compare with your expectations?

Was overall satisfied, however can't help but feel that it was an opportunity missed, wasn't expecting much, but towards the end in a position of strength, was disappointed we didn't go for it, a couple of million well spent could have reaped a huge reward for the club.

Q - What are your expectations for next season in the Championship/Where will we finish?

Think we will be just short again, hope to be proved wrong, but nothing i have seen so
far leads me to believe we will have an advantage on the top teams this year.

Q- Much has been said about the wealth of our new owners. Do you think they will spend their way to promotion, or adopt a more frugal approach in trying to achieve it?

Frugal, think it will be bosmans and loans.

Q - Name a former Forest player you were most disappointed to see sign for another club?

Obvious one, Pearcey, couldn't blame him, but gutted when he went.

Q - What's your opinion on Billy Davies and will he bring success to the club?

In the minority and don't rate him as high as most. Master PR in getting him back, but Mourinho he isn't. I think he will fall just short.

Q - In your opinion, was it the right or wrong decision to sack Sean O'Driscoll

Right.

Q - If you could put one question or make one request to Mr.Fawaz Al-Hasawi, what would it be?

Why did you mess Boyd around?

Q - Where do you sit/stand at the City Ground?

Used to be A block, but familly dictates day ticket only now.

Q - Name the celebrity you would most like to meet.

Michelle Keagan.
