McGoldrick Seals Ipswich Move

David McGoldrick has today secured a permanent transfer to Championship rivals Ipswich Town.

The 25 year old Nottingham born striker today signed a two year deal with the club he spent the second half of last season on loan with.

He's the second player to leave the City Ground on a free transfer this week, after Lewis McGugan joined Watford.

McGoldrick signed a four year deal at the City Ground, when he was transferred from Southampton in 2009 for 1m. He's barely played for the Reds' since the end of 2011, spending much of that time out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, Coventry and Ipswich.
