Jim Price Now Named As A Director Of NFFC
Mr. Jim Price has been named as a Director of Nottingham Forest, according to Duedil.com.
Mr. Price is the cousin of Forest boss Billy Davies and was until recently his personal advisor. When Davies was named as the managerial successor to Alex McLeish, Price was rumoured to have been given the role of Chief Executive Officer. The announcement of Price as CEO of NFFC has never been officially announced, with Price himself describing his role as that of General Manager. When previously asked about Mr. Price's role at NFFC, the club's official line on his appointment, was that he was an 'advisor to the new Kuwaiti owners.'
The information given on the Duedil website says that Price was named as a Director at Nottingham Forest In The Community on
May 29, 2013 and the position he holds at the club is Chief Executive.
Mr. Price was a former solicitor and before his association with Nottingham Forest, he held the position of co managing partner at the now defunct Scottish law firm Ross Harper. Jim Price, 53, had his solicitor's licence to practise suspended as an investigation into alleged financial irregularities at Ross Harper, once a major name on the high street.
He and three other managing partners were in charge of the firm at the time it went bust, with the Law Society of Scotland concerned £2.6m of client funds had been used to keep the firm running. An investigation is ongoing.
