Match Report From Kids Corner

Birmingham v Forest, Saturday 21st December.

Sorry my report won't be as detailed as last week because I've been relegated to Grandma's house whilst, some-ones out drinking! Anyway here we go, opinions welcome but I only wrote this based on The Football League Show highlights and Radio Nottingham Commentary!

At the beginning of the game Forest were slow and were only on level terms due to a couple of fantastic saves from Karl Darlow, with some other chances being put off target from the Birmingham City Strikers.

Former Forest transfer target Chris Burke fired a long range shot that would have hit the back of the net if not for another great save from Darlow. The half time whistle blew and from what was shown on the TV & the commentary, I thought that the Forest players needed waking up!

The second half started and the game was heading towards yet another draw with nothing but a couple of chances happening in the second half.

Although, I do think Henry's cheeky goal, nodding the ball out of the keeper's hand - should have been allowed - Dad's showed me the Gary Crosby goal (that was before I was born!)

In the 80th minute the Forest sub Darius Henderson over-reacted to a tackle and was shown a red card for it. He'd only been on the pitch 9 minutes and now gets Christmas off - hope it's unpaid.

After that it was end to end but none of the chances found the back of the net.

The final whistle blew and it finished 0-0 - another well earned point for Forest but still not the win we wanted!

Thanks for reading once again your opinions welcome.

Thanks Bash9
