Forest v Leeds Preview

So, Forest welcome Leeds Trentside on Sunday 29th December, for a 3pm Kick Off as 5th play 6th in The Championship.

Forest picked up a deserved, but long awaited 5th home win of the season last time out, against title favourites QPR - so they will be hoping to take momentum and confidence into the last fixture of 2013.

Kelvin Wilson, Chris Cohen and Dexter Blackstock remain long term absentees, Danny Collins is nearing a return but is unlikely to feature, whilst Darius Henderson completes the 2nd of his 3 match suspension for his sending off against Birmingham.

Simon Cox missed the Boxing Day 2 - 0 victory, but he may feature IF he has recovered from the virus that caused his absence in time - other than that Billy Davies has no fresh injury concerns.

Forest are unbeaten in their last 5 games, which includes 2 wins, 3 draws and 4 consecutive clean sheets.

Brian McDermott's Leeds are also unbeaten in 5 with an identical record of 2 wins and 3 draws from their last 5 outings. The most recent fixture saw them drawing 1 - 1 at Blackpool on Boxing Day.

Luke Murphy missed that clash, but should return after completing a 1 match suspension. Alex Mowatt was rested against Blackpool, but may also return to the squad. Noel Hunt, Adam Drury and El-Hadji Diouf are all expected to miss out due to injury.

The last meeting between the pair at The City Ground ended with a 4 - 2 victory for Forest, which represented the last game in charge for Sean O'Driscoll - as he was sacked later that evening.

James Linington is the man in charge for this fixture, which can be a feisty affair. In his previous 18 matches this season, he has dished out 59 yellow and 4 red cards.

Just in case I don't get chance, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and all the very best for 2014!
