Forest v Charlton: Match Report From Kid's Corner

Forest v Charlton: Match Report From Kid's Corner

Match report from kids corner, Forest v Charlton, Tuesday 25th of March 2014.

After a total embarrassment at Derby, leading to the sacking of Billy Davies, The Reds come up against a relegation threatened Charlton side looking to stay in the championship.

With their temporary manager, Gary Brazil, in charge Forest were without a goal in over three hours and looking to get back into the play-offs. Alright then here we go.

The game started and as expected Forest started to pile on the early pressure and when a neat through ball from, the already mistake making Jara, found Henderson it looked as if he'd scored when the ball rolled passed the keeper but he was to be denied by the post!

Forest's men kept on trying to get their first goal, but not hitting the target was the thing stopping them now. However, it looked as if Charlton were going to score on the break, when a clearly offside Charlton player squared a ball across but again, like Forest, it was the post denying the first goal. Somehow the ball just wasn't going in?

Just before half time, a real good break for The Reds, when a ball found it's way through to Cox who did everything right with a classy chip over the keeper, however to everyone's despair the ball for a third time pinged of the post and the header by Henderson after a second rebounded shot, was tipped over the bar! Not again.... no more chances were created by Forest in the first half. Half time 0-0.

Jara and Abdoun continued to play poorly, making mistakes and being lazy - in my opinion these should have been subbed off at half time.

Forest came out for the second half with no urgency and like the Derby game, the players started moaning and shouting at each other!

Poor.... Forest probably should have been behind when Cousins was found unmarked at the back post but he blazed over. I don't know what Gary Brazil was watching but if he couldn't see that Jara was struggling he must be blind!

Something I was even more disgusted with was that when Simon Cox was subbed off after getting a knock people started cheering. Now I don't know if any of the fans have ever played football but when your team's lacking confidence, the last thing you need is people getting on your back and I think if you were one of them who were cheering you should be ashamed!

Things got worse and worse for The Reds in the 80th minute a mistake from Lascelles & Jara led to another Charlton player hitting the post only this time the rebound fell to Cousins who guided the ball into the empty net, 0-1 - diabolical!

Then there were more Forest fans who should also be ashamed, when more insults were thrown at some of the players, chanting, 'Your not fit to where the shirt' - how does that help?

Awful from some of the fans and for the temporary manager who somehow could not see that Jara was still making mistakes and was having a mare! Full time 0-1.

No play-offs for Forest and I'm not sure if we'll win another game this season now, without a single goal in 4 and a half hours, no wins in 9 and no confidence.

There aren't words to describe how poor the management and
the effort was, the only positive I can take out of that is Greening - Man Of The Match again.

Thanks for reading, Bash9.
