Mackie Joins The Royals!

Mackie Joins The Royals!

After joining Forest for around £1m just over a year ago from QPR, Jamie Mackie is the latest player to depart The City Ground - following former Reds team mate, Simon Cox to become Reading's second summer signing.

The 28 year old forward has seen numerous arrivals at The City Ground during pre-season and despite 49 appearances and 5 goals for Forest last season, his chances would seem to be more limited.

New Reds boss, Stuart Pearce, is determined to trim the squad whilst shaping it to his own designs and clearly feels that Mackie does feature in his plans.

Mackie has 2 years of his Forest contract remaining, but has put pen to paper on a season long loan with the Royals - presumably, unable to play against his parent club.

Stuart Pearce feels that Forest may seek to add a few more faces, most likely via loans, in the coming weeks but has also hinted that there will be several more departures - hopefully, from those on the fringes of the squad.

Come On You Reds!!!
