Nottingham Forest U18s earn a draw
Nottingham Forest U18s travelled to Blackburn over the weekend to find out that they were in for a tough game.
Goals scored from Mark Bryne and Emile Sinclair assured that the youngsters went home with a point and extend their unbeaten run to 9 games.
Blackburn took the lead after only 10 minutes gone in the second half. They made sure they capitalised on some poor defensive work.
Forest equalised 10 minutes later on the 65th minute with Bryne hitting a side footed shot into the net, with Sinclair creating the goal.
The Reds defence gave another goal away to give Blackburn a 2-1 lead. Sinclair then hit back to make it 2-2, hitting a right footed shot from 17 yards out.
Speaking to the official site Academy Director Nick Marshall said: 'The lads showed great character in twice coming from behind against a very good Academy side.
'A draw was a fair result. We were disappointed with the manner in which we conceded the goals - we should have defended better - but we could not fault the manner in which the lads acquitted themselves.'
The U18s are doing very well in the league placed 1st on 44 points. Sunderland are the closest team to them in 2nd on 41 points.
