Striker Making A Good Impression
Nicklas Bendtner's brief spell with Nottingham Forest ended earlier in the month when the former Arsenal striker joined Norwegian club Rosenborg for an undisclosed fee as he looks to get his career back on track.
Despite a poor end to his Arsenal career - and a failed spell in Germany with Wolfsburg before joining Forest - in many ways Bendtner didn't really have anything to prove with the Reds.
But it would be safe to say he probably wouldn't be remembered with much fondness at the City Ground would he as the Danish international managed just two goals in his 17 appearances for Forest.
With Bendtner slipping further down the pecking order at Forest he eventually took his leave to join the Norwegian champions where he's already making his mark apparently. Well, a 'good impression' on his new teammates anyway.
One of them being Matthias Vilhjalmsson who is quoted by the Nottingham Post as saying.
'He is a very charming guy with a lot of qualities. I've got a really good impression of him, and he is a little different than I thought. Bendtner has quickly become a part of the squad, and I think maybe he slightly missed that.'
Another teammate Pal Andre Helland went on to say Bendtner was 'very humble' and wasn't the 'idiot' he can be made out to be at times.
The Post report also quoted what he told newspaper Adresseavisen.
'For a big star as he is very humble. He is not an idiot, as rumours make him sound. He talks to everybody, and he seems like a nice guy. Nicklas is not a Messi-type, who dribbles a lot. He is big as a mountain and a good target player. I feel that I project well in the air with my 187cm, but compared to Nicklas Bendtner, I could just be a small moped.'
