The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Nottingham Forest and Reading this Saturday.

Nottingham Forest host Reading on Saturday April 22 for the game at the City Ground and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Geoff Eltringham
Linesmen: John Flynn and Mark Pottage
Fourth Official: Charles Breakspear

Match Day referee Eltringham has officiated 37 games in 2016/17 with a return of 104 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count this season was the game between Aston Villa and Cardiff City where he showed eight yellow cards and one red card.

He took charge of 37 matches in 2015/16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 93 yellow cards and eight red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Bolton and Birmingham on October 20 with a total of seven yellow cards shown. On January 2 between Chesterfield and Shrewsbury he also showed six yellow cards and one red card.

A talented footballer in his youth, Eltringham started refereeing aged 16. He was appointed to the EFL Referees List in 2009/10, and was the fourth official in the League Two Play-Off Final between Bradford City and Northampton Town 2013.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
