Deals For Potential Future Forest Stars

Deals For Potential Future Forest Stars

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the contract status of the players Mark Warburton - assuming he'll still be in place at the time - will hope can become the future at the City Ground.

A number of players were already part of the U23 squad last season and have now moved a step closer to becoming first team squad members in the not too distant future as the Official Website confirmed new deals for the upcoming season.

Adam Crookes, Gerry McDonagh, Elvis Otim and Lewis Walters have all extended their deals.

Having been part of the U18 squad last season Jack Lester will now welcome the following players into the U23s this term:

Virgil Gomis
Kieran Hayes
Jordan Wright

First year scholars last season Arvin Appiah, Keith Asare, Josh Barnes, Sam Greenwood, Riley Harbottle, Brennan Johnson, Max Ram, Jayden Richardson, George Shelvey and Will Swan have moved up the next run of the ladder.

These players are now involved in Gareth Holmes squad at U18 level.

Joe Coveney wasn't on any of the lists but the defender has linked up with Lester's U23 squad as his arrival from Manchester City was announced this afternoon.

Coveney, 18, helped Man City win the Premier League North trophy last season but has left the Etihad Stadium at the end of his scholarship deal to sign a two year contract at Forest.
