Forest Linked With Hull Stopper
Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor this weekend.
The 35 year old former Rangers stopper is out of contract next summer at the KCOM Stadium, but he did start Hull's Championship opener against Aston Villa on Saturday so whether or not they'd be open to a deal remains to be seen.
Having sold Eldin Jakupovic to Leicester City earlier this summer, David Marshall remains ruled out with injury until next month but according to The Sun on Sunday (Aug 6 paper edition) that hasn't stopped Forest from making an enquiry about his availability.
In fact they state the enquiry was as concrete as 'can we have him for free?'
With manager Mark Warburton looking for some experienced cover for Jordan Smith and Dimitar Evtimov whilst Stephen Henderson recovers from injury, the expectation is McGregor might be open to the move as Marshall is expected to be No 1 when he's fit.
I'm not sure anything will come of this to be honest especially as he's going to get a run of games at Hull in the foreseeable future.
