Begin QPR The Way We Finished Reading

Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka has challenged the first team squad to start the Queens Park Rangers tie this weekend the way we finished the midweek clash with Reading.

Hosting Jaap Stam's side at the City Ground for the midweek affair and taking a hard earned point from the game with Lee Tomlin saving a point five minutes from the full time whistle, Karanka told the Official Forest Site as he met with the media to preview the game that he wanted us to start the Queens Park Rangers tie where we left off given the way we performed in the second period.

Praising the more aggressive nature of our attacking play in the final 45 minutes, the former Middlesbrough manager explained that he wanted more of the same as we make the trip on Saturday to Loftus Road.

'The second half against Reading was the team I want to see every day on the pitch. We were aggressive, we were confident when we had the ball and we were organised when we didn`t have it. It is another tough game against an experienced team with an experienced manager. It is a difficult stadium to go and play in but it is about us, and to keep playing with our organisation from the Burton game and how aggressive we were in the second half on Tuesday.'

Clearly wins are needed and needed quickly as we head towards the end of the campaign, but Karanka feels he's seeing enough improvement in performance to feel confident three points is only around the corner.

'In football, the pressure is to win but if we played like we did in the second half on Tuesday it will be easier to win games. We couldn`t score that second goal on Tuesday but we had lots of chances. With the players we have and the players who are ready for the games and their quality, I am sure we will score goals. I knew things needed time with the new signings, and with two or three weeks of training together and playing together you can feel they are becoming a real team.'
